World War 1 Centenary
There will be an event with music and poetry on Saturday 3rd November to mark the end of the first great war. Please put the date in your diary.
This will also launch a week-long exhibition in church, up to Remembrance Sunday. We will be encouraging people to come and light a candle in the Lady Chapel with the roll of honour highlighting those from Bracknell who served and died in the war.
If members of the congregation have family who served in 1914-18 and you would like them remembered at this time – please let us know and if you have any photos or other memorabilia you would like displayed. Speak to Jim. Les Allen or Michael Jackson. If you’d like to help with making the exhibition you’d be most welcome (young and old).

(returning, rest, quietness, trust – see Isaiah 30.15). From September, on the 3rd and 4th Sundays (by and large) and between 3.30 and 5pm, there will be an opportunity to continue our exploration of stillness and silence as a way of prayer. The format will involve some time just to chat and unwind, a bit of teaching and sharing and time to soak up the silence and rest in God’s presence. This is not a course or programme and attendance once a month or just to give it a go is welcome. For further info speak to or e-mail Jim:
