Funerals

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8.38-39)

We hope that here at The Parish of Bracknell we will be able to afford you some support and a little comfort in the sadness of your loss.

In case of bereavement, should you wish to speak to a priest or pastoral minister please contact the Parish Office on 01344 867383 or email admin@bracknell-parish.org

Arranging Funerals

Your chosen funeral director will make the formal arrangement with the parish as regards the service, which can be held either in Church or at the Crematorium.

Once we have been instructed by the funeral director, a minister will get in touch to arrange a visit to discuss what you would like for the service.

As a help to thinking about this, the main questions usually asked about the funeral service are covered on the excellent Church of England website. The web site also has a wealth of helpful resources and links.

Prayer & Memory

It is our practice to pray for those who have been bereaved and for the person who has died, in the period leading up to the funeral.

Our prayer and support for you, the next of kin, will continue after the funeral if you want it or feel that you need it.  Please don’t be afraid to ask.

We also hold an annual memorial service in November for those who have been bereaved. This gives an opportunity to reflect and seek God’s help in the context of a short service at Holy Trinity. The service is usually followed by tea.  We will ask your permission to include you on the mailing list for this during our first time together.

Our local cemetery and crematorium is:

Easthampstead Park Cemetery
South Road, Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham,
